Pre Security is Try Hack Me's introduction to computers, code, networking, web fundamentals, and cyber security. I completed this learning path on 10/12/2026. Each module ends with a recap and quiz and includes practical hands on examples or labs. Module 1 is Introduction to Cyber Security which includes Offensive Security Intro, Defensive Security Intro, Careers in Cyber. Module 2 is Computer Fundamentals with Inside a Computer System, Computer Types, Client-Server Basics, Virtualisation Basics, and Cloud Computing Fundamentals. Module 3 is Operating systems Basics with Operating Systems: Introduction, Window Basics, Linux CLI Basics, Windows CLI Basics, and Operating System Security. Module 4 is Data Representation, Data Encoding, Python: Simple Demo, JavaScript: Simple Demo, and Database SQL Basics. Module 5 is Network Fundamentals with What is Networking?, Intro to LAN, OSI Model, Packets & Frames, and Extending Your Network. Module 6 is How the Web Works with DNS in Detail, HTTP in Detail, How Websites Work, and Putting It All Together. Finally, Module 7 is Attacks and Defenses with The CIA Triad, Cryptography Concepts, Become a Hacker, and Become a Defender.
